The 4:08

An idea that I’ve had on the back-burner for some time, and a quick exploration between jobs.
Taking inspiration from Streamliner Moderne, Art Deco, and Retro Future aesthetics. Fritz Lang’s Metropolis was also an inspiration.

Blocked out quickly in Blender.

Decided to leave it as a value study as I felt that it better maintained the sense of scale and mass as expressed through these simple forms. Also rendering it in values alone reinforces the themes and inspiration.
